Biography :

Veronique Walu  (Congolese), is an anthropologist with more than 25 years of International Education. She is the chairlady of a not profit organization - Redeem Foundation, which tends to empower women.. Véronique Walu has experience in diverse fields, including gender issues, socio economic, human rights and cultural expressions. Having completed her Ph.D. in Anthropology (UVA), 1999, she is a freelancer conducting research, training, advocacy, monitoring and evaluating projects. Since 1996 she interprets and translates DRC Swahili and Lingala.into French and English vice versa for Dutch Courts of Justice, Essex Metropolitan Police – Child Protection OCU and the International Criminal Court Prior to that she was researcher at the UVA from 1993-1999, and at the Centre de Recherche en Sciences Humaines DRC from 1978-1990. As member designer and co-director of Connaissida, she involved in Voluntary work.
