Biography :

Born and brought up in Porto Novo in Benin on 6 July 1949. Amadou Rouf Raimi went to the Lycée Victor Ballot, obtaining his Baccalaureat in 1970 at Libreville in Gabon. From whence he left to pursue his studies in Europe.

With a diploma from the Essec (Ecole Supérieure des Sciences économiques et commerciales) in France. He joined Deloitte in 1976. He soon passed his exams as a qualified accountant and commissaire aux comptes.

He quickly rose in stature, gravitating the different levels of the company. He became member of the commitee of directors, responsable for the Audit department dedicated to large clients where he held the post from 1991 - 1997.

He has been responsable for auditing and advising important French and International companies such as Alstom, EDF, Renault/ Nissan and Pinault Printemps (PPR) group to name but some.

He became an associate of Deloitte in 1988 and in 2004 he became President of the Conseil d'Administration. In June 2007 he was elected to the post of Vice President and President of the committee of Evaluation and Remuneration.

His success was rewarded by the President of France when on July 14 2009, he was awarded the Legion of Honneur.

Amadou Raimi is married and has three daughters.
