Biography :

Oswald Boateng (b. in 1968) is a Brtish designer of Ghanaian origin.

Givenchy’s head designer could be the most elegant man in town. Born in England in 1968 in a family who came from Ghana, he is now head of the men’s fashion division for Givenchy, the designer who dressed Audrey Hepburn. Boateng, who learned his craft working for a traditional tailor on London’s Savile Row before becoming a master tailor at 27, says he wants to create clothes for “the French gentleman.” In 2012, French athletes at the Beijing Olympics will be wearing his clothes. Actors Pierce Brosnan, Jude Law, Daniel Day-Lewis, Keanu Reeves and Mick Jagger are among his fans.
